What is Screen Printing?

Screen printing is an ancient art for applying images (in single, multi or full colour)  onto a wide range of products, including
t-shirts and garments.

Screen of varying sizes can easily be purchased, depending
on the size of print required. A Screen  is a fine mesh
stretched over a wooden or metal frame (see example on right).

The mesh stretched over the frame is usually white in colour
(can also be yellow for extra fine work). A new screen
needs to be coated with "Emulsion" (This is a light sensitive
solution) and left to dry.

Once dry, artwork needs to be placed on top of the
Screen and exposed to bright light, using a "Exposure Unit".
